One of America’s longest serving mayors will be the keynote speaker at the State of the Region. Joseph Riley served as the Mayor of Charleston for 40 years, from 1975 through 2016, and was at the helm of the city during its transformation into a top destination.Charleston is now recognized as one of the most livable and progressive cities in the United States.
Mayor Riley also led the city through Hurricane Hugo, and the Emanuel AME Church shooting.
