Bluffton Regional Business Council
The Bluffton Regional Business Council (BRBC) is made up of business leaders in the Bluffton area who represent various industries and interests in the community. It’s mission is to work with members, citizens and elected officials to identify, craft and implement a pro-business agenda that advances the economic future and protects the quality of life in the region. It is focused on keeping a pulse on the area’s growing business climate while assisting as businesses navigate through and become part of the local economy. In addition to quarterly meetings, the council plans, collaborates and oversees several special events in Bluffton throughout the year that offer small business educational opportunities, networking and community enhancing projects.

Business & Education Partnership (BEP)
The Business & Education Partnership Committee is made up of business and education leaders who join their collective voices to discuss important, interesting and relevant topics affecting our learning community. The “BEP” Committee hosts meetings on the 1st Tuesday of the month, open to chamber members. It also oversees special, exclusive Chamber programs like Project Connect and Golden Apple. This committee is also active in hosting luncheons, education roundtables and special events to bring businesses into the conversation amongst educators for greater understanding and collaboration. Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee provides a common meeting place for the exchange of ideas and to stimulate thinking on civic matters. The goal is to inform, educate and facilitate. The committee brings together community leaders, members and guests who share an interest in what happens in our region, county, state, and nation. This committee meets the first Friday of every month at Chamber Headquarters and is led by Jeremy Clark, Hilton Head Regional Healthcare.
Junior Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton
Jr. Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton is sponsored by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, to develop a corps of informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of becoming successful leaders of their peers and their community. The candidates for the program are interviewed during the spring of their sophomore school year, and participate in the program during their junior year at a high school in southern Beaufort County. It is a competitive application process, as the number of students is limited who can participate. It requires a completed application, three letters of recommendation from community members or teachers and an in-person interview with a member of the Junior Leadership Board of Trustees. Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton
The mission of the Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton program is to systematically inform, challenge and educate the participants regarding opportunities and needs in the community, as well as the dynamics and social and economic change; to create a dialogue and rapport among the participants and existing community leaders; and to identify organization and individual opportunities for community involvement and assist in the placement of participants in these positions. Applications for the class of 2020 are being accepted online March 1, 2019 – May 20, 2019.

Small Business Council
The Small Business Council serves as an advocate for small business members, with a focus on companies with 10 or fewer employees. It also energizes the chamber’s overall efforts to meet the needs of its diverse small-business community. The council hosts small business workshops, sponsors the “Shop and Dine Local” campaign and more. Its premier event is each May for Small Business Week when the calendar fills with networking, education seminars and awards.
