• Condé Nast Traveler readers voted Hilton Head Island the No. 1 Island for the sixth time in a row in the 35th annual Readers' Choice Awards! The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport was ranked the No. 1 Airport in the U.S. Montage Palmetto Bluff was named the No. 1 Resort in the South, while The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, The Inn & Club at Harbour Town, and the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort were also named among the 20 Best Southern Resorts.

  • In October, the Leadership Class learned about Bluffton and its government, history, and more.

  • Students in the Technical College of the Lowcountry’s health sciences programs - Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy Assistant, Massage Therapy, Nursing and Medical Assisting - achieved a 100 percent pass rate on national licensing exams.

  • The 2022 Sea Turtle Nesting season was documented as the second highest on record for Hilton Head Island with 423 nests. The record year was 463 nests in 2019.
  • Congratulations to Second Helpings and Palmetto Breeze for celebrating its fifth anniversary of Fill The Need, which has helped hundreds of families by providing groceries every week to those who commute to work on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton. 

  •  Hilton Head Public Service District’s Water Quality Laboratory has once again been recognized as a Laboratory of Excellence as part of its annual certification by DHEC.

  • F3 Lowcountry has raised thousands of dollars for local charities while shaping the lives of the men through fitness and fellowship. They recently donated to The Celebration Project, BSA Troop 245, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Young Life. 

  • Marriott Vacation Club introduced “Farm to Resort,” a new partnership with Lowcountry Fresh Market where owners and guests can now order fresh, locally-grown groceries and pre-packaged meal kits before arrival and have them delivered right to the resort.
