The 2022 Midterm Elections have the potential to tip the balance of power in Washington. Will the House switch parties? Will Democrats hold the Senate? How have the last few years shaped what’s to come? We’re offering some insights into just that at our State of the Region event, which will feature noted senior political strategist Ashlee Rich Stephenson. She’s a nationally respected political strategist with experience working on several U.S. presidential campaigns in addition to her role in shaping politics with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We thought that with this year’s pivotal political landscape, an insider’s view from 40,000 feet would offer great insight into what to expect on Election Day.

As always, we’ll hear from our local mayors and the chair of Beaufort County Council to talk about what matters most to you based on our recent membership poll. We’ve asked our elected officials to address your top three concerns directly during their remarks at State of the Region. It’s always a sell-out crowd, so I encourage you to reserve your spot in the personal invite delivered to your inbox this week with all the details for the November 2 event.

Past speakers at State of the Region have included notables such as Ambassador Nikki Haley, U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, business icon Darla Moore, and many more. You won’t want to miss what’s become a signature event in our community.

Fall is in full swing. Last weekend’s Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off & Jeep Island was the start of so many great festivals to come. This week launches the popular Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival. I encourage you to get out there and support our local charities and businesses by being part of this festival season.

Make it a great week!

Sincerely,

Bill
