Workers with military backgrounds – whether they or their spouses served as active duty members – bring a skillset to businesses that can’t adequately be described on a written resume. Studies have shown that they are more adept at transferring their skills across different scenarios, are loyal, can adapt to different situations quickly, and think outside the box.
Earlier this month, we shared information about SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes on our Power Hour Tele-Town Hall. We’re partnering with these programs as part of our workforce initiatives to help local businesses fill vacant positions at no cost, and also help active service members transition to civilian life.
