Class is in session; Leadership class that is.
 
This week, your Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber will welcome 19 professionals to the Leadership Class of 2024. Over the next nine months, they will take a deep dive into Beaufort County’s economy, culture, history, government and more. For them, it doesn’t just show their commitment to learning and growing professionally, but also to the community.
 
We grow leaders. Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Leadership is one of our longest-running programs at the chamber. Now in its 39th year, over 700 leaders and professionals have graduated from the program and have made their mark in the community. Each class also gives back by completing a capstone project. There’s been over $133,000 invested in the last few years into projects like the Bluffton Library Park, playground equipment, recycling and sunscreen stations, and more.

Class is also in session for students! The school year gets underway in the Lowcountry as some private schools start this week and public schools next week. We’re also welcoming USCB students for Sand Shark Week August 20-26, and TCL students back to campus. We wish both students and educators a successful year!
