Everyone loves a good comeback and all eyes were on Tiger Woods at the Masters. It was also great to see returning RBC Heritage champion Stewart Cink land a hole-in-one, and 25-year-old Scottie Scheffler’s first major win of his career.

The RBC Heritage is in full comeback mode as well. This week marks not just another PGA TOUR event, but a tradition that’s part of the DNA of our Lowcountry community. The tournament is back at full capacity and sold out. A dedicated group of 1,200 volunteers are ready to welcome golf fans, and millions more will catch a glimpse of the beauty of our island complete with boats bobbing in Calibogue Sound off the 18th green.

It’s an event unlike any other. The phrase “Happy Heritage” has become part of the lexicon of language on the island this week.

The impact of the tournament continues long after the final putt on the18th green this Sunday. The benefits of this event are felt year-round. The Heritage Classic Foundation has donated over $45.8 million to charity, including scholarships for local students.

It’s not surprising that PGA TOUR pros have voted the tournament one of their top favorites. I had the opportunity to chat with last year’s RBC Heritage champion Stewart Cink regarding what he loves about the tournament and how he celebrated his win last year. Click here to listen to his thoughts on this year’s event and more.

The entire community is looking forward to heading to Harbour Town this week to enjoy the golf and reconnect with friends and colleagues.

Happy RBC Heritage everyone!
