• Dr. Richard Gough, president of the Technical College of the Lowcountry, was awarded the CEO of the year award by the South Carolina Association of Technical College Commissioners. 
• Brian Hulbert has been appointed as the Beaufort County Attorney. He was previously serving the community as a Deputy County Attorney, following 15 years of dedication to the Town of Hilton Head Island.

• Katie Cacciola has been named Associate Director of Marketing for The Sea Pines Resort. 
• Caroline Fermin has been named as one of the 2025 Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Women Veterans Trailblazers. She currently serves as the Beaufort County Veterans Affairs Director.

• Three Technical College of the Lowcountry employees, Sara Cain, Sasha Bishop and Kelli Boniecki have been recognized by the South Carolina Technical Education Association’s as “Educators of the Year.”

• Paula Wallace, Savannah College of Art and Design president and founder was honored with the Presidential Citizens Medal by Former President Biden at the White House.
