Our members are making headlines across the Lowcountry! Here are some of their accomplishments:
- The University of South Carolina Beaufort has been awarded the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Connecting Communities Award. Highlighting the NCAA Division II core value of community engagement, USCB represents the meaningful connections between campus and community.
- The Technical College of the Lowcountry placed 38th out of approximately 4,000 competing teams in the National Cyber League’s “ethical hacking competition.” Competing against both community colleges and four-year institutions, the TCL team ranked 42nd in overall performance.

- Second Helpings relaunched their tourist food rescue program, and collection bins have now been placed in lobbies of hotels, resorts and other businesses throughout the island. Residents and tourists alike can easily donate unopened nonperishable food and give back to the local community.
- The Hilton Head Public Service District received the Financial Reporting Award for the 15th year in a row.

- According to the USC Darla Moore School of Business, The University of South Carolina Beaufort generated a $141.3 million in statewide economic impact in 2024, supporting 1,236 jobs and $63.3 million in labor income state-wide.
- SC Lowcountry SCORE has been recognized as the 2024 SCORE Chapter of the Year. Thanks to the leadership team and quality mentorship, SC Lowcountry SCORE received a 98.6% client satisfaction rate for the year.

- J. Banks Design was listed in the Top 100 Design Giants for 2025 by Interior Design Magazine..
- The Hilton Head Public Service District has once again been recognized as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. It also earned the S.C. Department of Environmental Services’ Facility Excellence Awards for the PSD’s Recycled Water Plant on Oak Park Drive.
- Minto Communities received 13 accolades in the 30th Annual 2025 Eliant HomeBuyers’ Choice Awards. From construction to design to the homebuying experience, Minto Communities was recognized as one of the top leaders in customer service.

- Palmetto Breeze Public Transit celebrated three major milestones, reflecting the agency's commitment to excellence, community impact and innovation in public transportation. The Breeze Trolley will officially be included in the Hilton Head Island edition of the official Monopoly Board game, while the Bluffton Breeze has gained national attention for the “Bluffton State of Mind" bus wrap which earned First Place for Best Special Event to Increase Ridership. On the financial front, Palmetto Breeze was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for its FY 2024 comprehensive annual financial report.
- Hilton Head Island was ranked third in Southern Livings’ 50 Best Beach Towns in the South.

- Hampton Hall Club has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Club Designation with an exceptional status, held by fewer than 4% of private clubs worldwide.
- Through the generosity of The Sea Pines Resort, over $90,000 in grants and donations were awarded to local and regional organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton, Local Legal Volunteers, The Outside Foundation and many others.
