Apprenticeship SC To Hold Office Hours At Chamber

A representative from Apprenticeship SC will hold office hours at the Chamber of Commerce offices to talk with businesses or students interested in pursuing an apprentice program. Office hours are:

●      9 a.m. - noon Thursday, September 2

●      9 a.m. - noon Wednesday, October 13

●      9 a.m. - noon Wednesday, November 17

●      9 a.m. - noon Wednesday, December 15

The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce has joined business leaders, Technical College of the Lowcountry, and the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce to expand the Apprenticeship SC programs in Beaufort County.

Apprenticeship SC - a division of the South Carolina Technical College System - is a statewide program that combines education and on-the-job training. It helps build a skilled workforce, retains youth and talent locally, and provides businesses tax credits. It’s a win-win-win for students, employers, and the region.

Any industry can benefit from an apprenticeship program, especially the hospitality and healthcare industries, and we encourage our local businesses to put apprenticeship programs in place, and for our local high school and college students to participate.
