Recession in 2024? Not Likely

Despite inflation and interest rates taking their toll on South Carolinians' wallets, consumer spending remains steady and there is a healthy labor market in the state. That means that the odds of a recession in 2024 "have gone down significantly," says Joey Von Nessen, Research Economist at the Darla Moore School of Business. Superbowl LVIII Presented by America’s Small Businesses
