About Lavon Stevens
Lavon has been recognized by the mayor of Hilton Head as one of the outstanding citizens. As one of the producers for the Native Island Gullah Celebration he has studied and presented the history of Blues, Jazz, and Gospel music from a cultural perspective. He serves as a member of The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and he is very active with The Junior Jazz Foundation and appears regularly at the world reowned Jazz Corner Restaurant and Jazz Club. He is also involved with the historic Mitchelbille Restoration Project. Lavon is affiliated with BMI as a songwriter/publisher and he is also a member of the Circle of Songs organization.
