July 26, 2021

It’s summer in the Lowcountry and it’s hard to believe that September and festival season is a short five weeks away. Our summer visitors will head back to school, and our area will once again play host to several great events. The first college football games are on the horizon as well.

Between September and early November, we can enjoy the Hilton Head Wine + Food Festival at Lowcountry Celebration Park for the first time, Crescendo, the Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival, the new Rock N’ Ribs and BBQ Festival, and so much more. Concours d ’Elegance will return as well following its hiatus last year due to the pandemic.

If you think it would be great to have a one-stop resource for everything that’s happening in our area so you could plan your weekend, we’re pleased to let you know that there is. We’re launching our new Lowcountry Lowdown this week. Every Friday, you’ll receive an email letting you know what’s happening in our community. We’re so fortunate to have so many great events to choose from, many of them with a charitable component.

While you’re out and about as we head into our final month of the summer and beyond, remember to simply be kind. Our frontline staff is working harder than ever before, and they deserve our respect, patience, flexibility, and kindness. Let’s show them they matter by showing our appreciation for their efforts. Booker T. Washington once wisely noted: “If you want to lift yourself up, lift someone else up.”

Let’s all lift up our community with a little kindness. Have a great week!

Sincerely,
