Summer is in full swing in the Lowcountry.

We had a sunny 4th of July weekend, and for residents and visitors it was a great time to gather with family and friends to celebrate our freedom. I often wish our residents could see the island through the eyes of our visitors. We answer hundreds of visitors’ questions each year and get to hear just how our guests feel about the area we call home. There are also a number of social media pages dedicated to those who love the Lowcountry. A few comments from our visitors:

We just got back on Tuesday, and I’m already looking into booking another trip in September. We’ve traveled all over the world, and there’s something very special about Hilton Head. We’d love to retire there! Golf galore for my husband, and tennis and Pickleball for me, and of course miles of beach walking… and beautiful trees. I could go on and on. Oh, and SUPER friendly people. – Kat

Heading down…on Saturday for a week in paradise – can’t wait to be back. – Tessa

Loved Hilton Head for our 3rd visit!... People were so friendly; the food was phenomenal, and the beach was spectacular (teaming with wildlife)! My personal favorite part of coming to the island is bringing my bike and spending time riding on the paths and the beach. – Jeremy

Notice the common themes? Our visitors love the people, the natural beauty, and the abundance of things to do. Hats off to you for your hospitality and love of the Lowcountry. It’s our residents and workforce who share their passion and make this such a special place to live, work, play and visit.

Make it a great week!
