Dear All,

We can look around and see that it’s busy in our local shops, restaurants, hotels, and more. In fact, preliminary results of our member survey show that 96% of those who responded are confident in the financial future of their business.

We look back to nearly two years ago when the pandemic brought some business to a screeching halt. We’re fortunate that our business community weathered the pandemic well, but some are still feeling the effects. We had a representative from the Catawba Regional Council of Governments on our Power Hour Tele-Town Hall talking about the $1.2 million CARES Act Loan funds that are still available for small businesses, even if they are in better financial shape now. While optimism and steady business is good news for our economy, we recognize that it all doesn’t come without its challenges. As indicated in the preliminary results of our member survey, workforce continues to be a dominant issue among our businesses locally and nationwide, and we are working with our partners toward creative solutions.

Thank you to those who took the time to complete our survey. If you haven’t already done so, click here and give us your feedback. We are looking forward to sharing more results with you in the coming weeks.

Make it a great week!

Bill
