Sell specific lines of merchandise such as apparel, jewelry, snacks, souvenirs, and related lines of merchandise for retail operation. o Provide prompt and professional service to customers: o Greet and welcome customers upon arrival, obtain or receive merchandise, total bill, accept cash and credit payments, and make change for customers. Post room charges accurately and promptly. Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift. Follow and enforce all cash handling policies and procedures. Wrap or bag merchandise for customers and invite customers to return upon departure. o Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise. Maintain shelves, counters, or tables in a neat and clean manner. o Sets up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales. o Mark merchandise with price. o Answer customer’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. o Up-sell purchases when possible. o Sign in and out gift shop keys. o Verify goods to invoices when merchandise is delivered. o Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. o Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus one-year experience in a retail or customer service related field. Prior cash handling experience preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
