Beaufort County Treasurer

Assists in the processing of tax payments and resolving problems and issues relating to tax payments. Other tasks include but are not limited to: payment processing, utilizing technology to perform assigned tasks, and quality customer service. *This position serves at the pleasure of an elected official.


Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
At least four years experience related to banking teller, customer service and cashiering
Knowledgeable in the use of computer operations and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
Able to use reason to perform mathematical calculations
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license


**Beaufort County has various facilities within the county, and many departments have multiple offices to serve our citizens. Management reserves the right to transfer employees from one location to another within the county at any time based on business need. Employees will be given as much notice as possible prior to a change in work location.

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. EOE.

Salary: $13.75/ hr
