Assistant Manager/Sales and Merchandising
The Church Mouse Thrift Shop
This is a 30 hour a week position, 9:30-3:30 Tuesday through Saturday. An attractive schedule for those who might have school age children. Responsibilities include: *Assisting in the daily management of the thrift store to meet budgeted goals. *Merchandising of donations, with strong emphasis on furniture and artwork. *Coordination of movement of furniture from receiving area to sales floor and appropriate pricing of same. *Interacting positively with customers, volunteers and employees. *Other administrative duties include, or may include pick-up and delivery coordination, Facebook postings, signage for weekly promotions, daily sales . tallies, bank deposits, opening & closing of store, helping maintain a safe and clean store.
* High energy level, with the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
* Professional appearance.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
* Previous experience in retail sales and merchandising. Experience in furniture sales, interior design, or other related fields is very helpful.
* Some college and a working knowledge of Spanish helpful.

Over fifty worthy charities on the island and several missions oversees benefit from our work.
