Programs

Bluffton Regional Business Council
The Bluffton Regional Business Council works with members, citizens and elected officials to identify craft and implement a pro-business agenda that advances the economic future and protects the quality of life of the region. The committee hosts business luncheons that are held throughout the year focused on relevant topics to the Bluffton regional area. The committee also hosts another event, Coffee Talk. The informal networking event is held at different locations throughout the year. The business community is encouraged to drop by for a cup of coffee on their way to work to find out the latest happenings in the community.

Bluffton Regional Business Council oversees the following programs and events:
Young Professionals Group: This chamber committee works with members, citizens and elected officials to identify, craft and implement a pro-business agenda that advances the economic future and protects the quality of life in the region.
Coffee Talk: Bluffton’s newest networking event! Drop by to grab a cup of coffee on the way to work and find out the latest happenings in the area. Locations change every month.
Quarterly Luncheons: Business luncheons are held throughout the year focused on relevant topics to the Bluffton area.

Business Education Partnership (BEP)
The mission of the Business Education Partnership is to create and support partnerships between local businesses and education communities to prepare students for successful workforce participation.The BEP invests in the future of the region through support of education initiatives. Two key initiatives are the Golden Apple Program and Project Connect. With member support, the Golden Apple Program gives perks and discounts to private and public school personnel in Southern Beaufort County. Project Connect links businesses, organizations and individuals with public school classrooms that are in need of items or services. The program is co-sponsored by “The Island Packet.”Meetings are held 1st Tuesday of the month, 8:30am, Chamber Headquarters. Government Affairs
The Government Affairs Committee provides a common meeting place for the exchange of ideas and to stimulate thinking on civic matters.  The goal is to inform, educate and facilitate.  The committee brings together community leaders, members and guests who share an interest in what happens in our region, county, state, and nation. This committee meets the first Friday of every month at Chamber Headquarters. Learn more.

Junior Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton
Jr. Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton is sponsored by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, to develop a corps of informed, committed, and qualified individuals capable of becoming successful leaders of their peers and their community. Any person having an interest in the objectives of the Program and who is a sophomore student enrolled in Hilton Head High School, Hilton Head Preparatory School, Heritage Academy, Bluffton High School, Hilton Head Christian Academy, Home School, Branch Christian or the Academy for Career Excellence  is eligible to apply. Applications for participation shall be in writing on forms provided for that purpose and signed by the applicant. In addition, the student’s Grade Point Average and three letters of recommendation must be submitted.  The selection of participants shall be by the Board after final interview and the selected candidates must be approved by the Board. For more information contact Hannah Horne at hhorne@hiltonheadisland.org.

Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton
The mission of the Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton program is to systematically inform, challenge and educate the participants regarding opportunities and needs in the community, as well as the dynamics and social and economic change; to create a dialogue and rapport among the participants and existing community leaders; and to identify organization and individual opportunities for community involvement and assist in the placement of participants in these positions. Small Business Council
The Small Business Council serves as an advocate for small business members, with a focus on companies with 10 or fewer employees. It also energizes the chamber’s overall efforts to meet the needs of its diverse small-business community. The council hosts small business workshops, sponsors the “Shop and Dine Local” campaign and more.. The Council meets the second Tuesday of every other month. is a database linking minority and women owned chamber members statewide.
Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce membership includes the Affinity Partner Program with the US Chamber of Commerce that offers exclusive access to product and service discounts provided by the US Chamber's affinity partners.
